The New York Mortgage Company, LLC was formed in 1998 as the result of a merger between New York Mortgage Corp. and First Security Financial Services, Inc. New York Mortgage Corp, founded in 1991 by Steven B. Schnall, was a retail mortgage brokerage. First Security Financial Services, founded in 1989 by Joseph V. Fierro, was a wholesale mortgage banker. Mr. Schnall and Mr. Fierro realized that a merger between their two companies would form a new entity with the resources and expertise to make loans directly as well as broker the loan programs of other lenders, enabling NYMC to provide a vast array of loan alternatives under one roof. Add to this our corporate philosophy which emphasizes a commitment to providing exemplary service, and it's no wonder that this union succeeded, igniting explosive growth.

In the years since its inception, NYMC has matured into a respected, reputable leader in the mortgage banking industry. We have expanded our Manhattan-based operation into a national company.
